Private Lesson Policies & Procedures
Welcome to Grosso Music and Fine Arts! We offer high quality group music lessons. Please kindly read this policy. It is designed to create fair use of our time together and can be referenced when questions arise.
ENROLLMENT
New private lesson students may take one 30-min introductory lesson before committing to weekly lessons. The price is $30. Payment for your lesson is due at that lesson. Checks should be written out to “Grosso Music and Fine Arts”. If you would like to to continue and secure a weekly slot in our teacher’s schedule, please include the following:
1. A signed Registration Form. Signing the form indicates to us that you are familiar with our policies.
2. A check which includes cost of books.
RATES
$30 – 30 minute lesson
$45 – 45 minute lesson
$60 – 60 minute lesson
We have Student Teachers for discounted lesson prices. Contact Keri for more detailed information.
Private Lessons fees are due at each lesson. Payment will need to be current with each lesson in order to hold your weekly spot. Books and rental instruments are charged separately.
PAYMENT OPTIONS

Cash (Please have an exact amount in the envelope with the student’s name on it.)
Online Payment -There will be an additional $2 convenience fee added for credit card payments. This does not apply to direct bank transfer payments.

MISSED LESSONS
24 hour notification in advance is required for any absence. Please notify your teacher. Sickness is considered an excused absence. If you have a Doctor’s appointment or schedule conflict we encourage you to switch lesson times with another student. Regular lessons are important.
LATE PAYMENTS
Tuition payments are considered late if not received by the second lesson of the month. In this case you will be charged a late fee of $20. Bounced Check Fee: $30 per check. Grosso Music and Fine Arts reserves the right to stop lessons if there is an unpaid account balance and the matter shall be turned over to a third party for resolution.
PARENT OBSERVATION
Parents are welcome to sit in and observe lessons, although many kids prefer parents to wait in an outer room. Please do not drop off your child in the parking lot or leave them unattended. We are not responsible for watching our students beyond their scheduled lesson time. Please respect this policy as we try to make to make the school environment as safe as possible.
TARDY ARRIVAL
Please arrive on time for your lesson. Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended and will still be charged the full fee.
DISCONTINUATION POLICY
In the event that the student has decided to discontinue lessons, we require a ONE MONTH NOTICE. You will be considered a student and billed accordingly, unless a withdrawal notice is received. Regardless of when appropriate notice is given, such student/parent shall be financially responsible for the following two weeks/lessons, whether the student/parent chooses to attend or be absent. No refund will be given, thus the student must finish the remainder of the month or forego any unused lessons. The purpose of this policy is to allow us to charge parents on a weekly basis so it does not create a financial hardship.
