MONDAYS
Music Making (K-2nd)
This class is for students who are K-2nd grade that want to learn the basics of music while having fun. We will cover steady beat and rhythm as well as pitch and tempo and many other music making skills, while using instruments and having fun. (Class is 36 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Mondays 10:00 – 10:45am)
Music Making (3rd – 5th)
This class is for students who are 3rd – 5th grades that want a general music class, learning the basics of music making. They will be learning basic music reading skills and having fun while they are learning how to make music together. (Class is 3 6 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Mondays 10:45 – 11:30am)
Middle School Music (6th – 8th)
This class will take students through the basics of piano, ukulele, recorder (same fingering as most woodwind instruments), choir/singing and chimes. The students will learn to read basic music and perform individually and in an ensemble. This will give them an idea of how they may want to move forward in their musical studies. (Class is 36 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Mondays 11:30a – 12:15p.
FRIDAYS
Beginning Piano (K-2nd):
This beginning piano class is catered towards K-2nd students. Students will learn basic piano technique, rhythm, and reading music, at a pace most appropriate for them. This class allows students to develop their fine motor skills, sight recognition of patterns and basic ear training. Students will learn to play by themselves and with others and will often be encouraged to play in front of others. (Class is 36 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Fridays 10-10:45am)
Beginning Piano (3rd – 5th):
This beginning piano class is for older students. They will learn the basics of piano and how to read music. They will be learning to read quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, two-eighth note rhythms and learn all the intervals of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, as well as some simple transposition. They will learn to play on their own as well as in front of others. (Class is 36 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Fridays 10:45 – 11:30am)
High School – Music Theory (9th – 12th)
This class is for serious musicians that want to delve into more complex Music Theory. There will be a book and workbook fee for this class. We are working on a discount for it, that we have not yet obtained. It is a college textbook and workbook that will cover the basics of some Freshman Music Theory. It will not contain Ear Training or Sight Singing, which are 2 skills required on the AP Exam, but it will start with basic Freshman Music Theory. (Class is 36 weeks. $90 per month for 9 months. First and last month’s tuition holds your spot for class. Fridays 11:30a-12:15p.)
